Gathering of Vietnam Veterans Transportation Corps to stop by Estrella Warbirds Museum 

–The Gathering of Vietnam Veterans Transportation Corps in Morro Bay will make a special trip to Paso Robles in the Estrella Warbirds Museum‘s very own restored Vietnam-era gun truck. The museum is the only place that has a restored gun truck of its kind on this side of the Mississippi, according to Carol Verstuyft of the Warbirds Museum.

These armored trucks acted as security for convoys in Vietnam, delivering much need supplies including fuel to outlying Fire Bases over the dangerous passes in the mountain terrain.

The gun truck will leave the museum to go to Morro Bay and bring the tour group back to the museum. The truck will be back at the museum starting at 10 a.m. Thursday. All are welcome to stop by.
