Georgia Brown Dad’s Club hosting drive-thru barbecue fundraiser
Dinners cost $60 and will be available for drive-thru pickup on Friday, March 21
– The Georgia Brown Dad’s Club will hold a drive-thru barbecue fundraiser to support students and teachers at Georgia Brown Dual Immersion School. The event will raise funds for recess equipment, field trips, and classroom resources.
The fundraiser features a Santa Maria-style tri-tip barbecue dinner for four to six people, including a whole tri-tip, beans, salad and bread. Dinners cost $60 and will be available for drive-thru pickup on Friday, March 21, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Culinary Arts parking lot, located at 1900 Golden Hill Road in Paso Robles.
This is the first barbecue fundraiser hosted by the Georgia Brown Dad’s Club, which was formed this year by a Georgia Brown parent to increase parent involvement, particularly among fathers. The club aims to build a strong community while supporting students and teachers through fundraising and volunteer efforts.
With Georgia Brown’s campus lacking playgrounds until next school year, proceeds from the event will help provide recess equipment. Additional funds will support field trips and classroom resources for teachers.
“This is more than just a fundraiser—it’s an opportunity for our entire Paso Robles community to come together and make a real difference for our students and teachers,” said Drew Hutcheson, leader of the Dad’s Club and a member of the Georgia Brown parent-teacher organization. “By simply enjoying a delicious meal, families and supporters can directly impact the quality of education and play opportunities for our kids.”
The event is open to the public, and participation is not limited to school families. Tickets must be purchased in advance, with sales closing on March 14. Orders can be placed online at my.cheddarup.com/c/bbq-fundraiser-30034.
