Girl’s volleyball defeats Templeton Eagles 3-0
–Tuesday night in women’s volleyball the lady Bearcats defeated the Templeton Eagles 3-0. Both teams fought very hard with the last two sets being decided by a combined 5 point difference.
Scores:
• Bearcats 25 – 16 Eagles
• Bearcats 25 – 22 Eagles
• Bearcats 25 – 23 Eagles
The Bearcats were led defensively by Freshman Outside Hitter Olivia Wright with 34 digs and 8 kills. Senior Outside Hitter Phoebe Corgiat once again led the Bearcats with 13 kills and helped keep the teams’ energy up throughout all 3 sets.
Next up, the Bearcats welcome the SLO Tigers to town on Thursday, Sept 26. The Bearcats will be attempting to protect their perfect record while the Tigers will be looking to dethrone the Bearcats as one of the two teams tied for 1st place in the Mountain League.
With last night’s win over the Eagles, the Bearcats’ record now improves to 20-8 overall and 4-0 in league play.
