–The Paso Robles Bearcats 10U C Division All Star team through Paso Robles Girls Softball League and Central Cal ASA’s 10U C Division Champions competed in 5 “B Division” tournaments beginning May 21, earning a 2nd place trophy in the Fresno Rage Tournament, and 2nd place trophy in the Silver Division Father’s Day Tournament in Hanford.
Last weekend they competed in the Central California ASA C Division Championship games in 105 degree temps in Hanford in hopes of qualifying for the Cal State Games in San Diego. The girls earned first place out of 14 teams going 5-0 for the weekend, putting up 82 runs and only letting up 14. They have a 4th of July tournament this weekend in Clovis making it the 7th weekend of tournaments in a row.
In two weeks they will head to San Diego to represent Central California with big dreams of earning a championship in the Cal State Games, July 15-17.
“These girls have worked extremely hard to improve week over week with 3 hour practices 3 days a week,” said team manager Jennie Hackett. “Coach Hackett is a proponent of hard work and a competitive spirit, but also encourages the girls to be good teammates and leaders by motivating and encouraging each other.”
