–Construction has officially begun on the Paso Robles Aquatic Complex. Lots of shovels went in the dirt for the groundbreaking ceremony held last Monday. Everyone who attended got a chance to dig in. Phase I of construction is projected to be completed by January 2019 on the PRHS campus.

The complex will be used year-round as a community-wide facility supporting physical education, athletic swimming, and emergency water safety programs in all schools as well as hosting health and wellness programs outside of school hours. The 4A Foundation for Paso Robles Schools and the We Swim Paso Committee have raised more than $600,000 in cash and in-kind donations of materials and labor from local businesses and individuals to help reach the initial fundraising goal. Sponsorship opportunities for businesses and individuals are still available and can be accessed through the website www.swimpaso.org.
