Habitat for Humanity ‘Build With Us’ event raises funds for local homeowners

    – Habitat for Humanity San Luis Obispo County will hold its annual Build With Us fundraiser on Saturday, April 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Edna Valley Ranch in San Luis Obispo.

The event will feature live music by the Ryan Delmore Band, dinner by Trumpet Vine Catering, a hosted bar by Friendly Wager Wines, Cal Coast Beer Co., and Firestone Walker, a silent and live auction, a wine pull, and a program showcasing the organization’s work. The evening will be emceed by Neil Herbert.

Funds raised will support the organization’s programs, including building affordable homes for local families and its Home Preservation program, which provides repairs and accessibility improvements for low-income homeowners, including seniors and veterans.

“At Habitat SLO, we believe everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home,” said Anthony Overton, CEO of Habitat for Humanity San Luis Obispo County. “Build With Us is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together to make that belief a reality.”

“Build With Us is more than a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of what we can accomplish together,” said Dawn Smith, director of development. “Every person in the room plays a role in helping local families build strength, stability, and self-reliance.”

The organization is also seeking volunteers for the event. “Whether you’re passionate about affordable housing or simply want to give back to your community, volunteering at Build With Us is a wonderful way to get involved,” said Colleen Stefanek, programs manager. Those interested can contact Stefanek at colleen@habitatslo.org or (805) 538-1881.

    Tickets are available at habitatslo.org.
