Habitat SLO ReStores to hold anniversary sale Aug. 22-23
Proceeds from sales to support affordable housing programs
– Habitat for Humanity San Luis Obispo County will hold its ReStore Anniversary Sale on Aug. 22-23 at its Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo locations.
The Paso Robles store is at 844 9th St., and the San Luis Obispo store is at 2790 Broad St. The sale will run Friday and Saturday, with Habitat SLO paying the sales tax on all purchases. Items include furniture, home goods, tools, appliances, building materials, and more.
“The ReStore is truly a hidden gem in our community,” said Stephanie Wright, ReStore operations manager. “We have people walk in looking for a specific item and walk out with inspiration for their entire home. This Anniversary Sale is a way to thank our customers and donors while inviting new shoppers to experience the ReStore difference.”
Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit retail outlets that sell donated new and gently used home improvement goods at reduced prices. Proceeds from sales support Habitat’s programs in San Luis Obispo County, which focus on building affordable homes and providing home preservation services for seniors, veterans, and families in need.
The ReStores also serve as a sustainability resource by keeping usable items out of landfills. Donations are resold, giving products a second life in another home.
Funds raised through ReStore sales help support new affordable housing projects, home preservation, and volunteer programs that provide skills training while promoting affordable homeownership.
