Halloween Harvest Costume Ball returning to Mid-State Fairgrounds

–On Oct. 26 and 27, Adelaide Hall at Paso Robles Event Center at 2198 Riverside Avenue in Paso Robles will be transformed into the biggest Halloween party on the California Central Coast.
The Halloween Harvest Costume Ball is a professional, upscale production with an electrifying dance party, food, beverages, and a Grand Costume Competition, all beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Brad Golden, Chief Visioneer and Ringmaster of Ceremonies, will immerse guests into a mysterious and interactive Halloween experience, replete with Hollywood-caliber props, theatrical lighting, eerie fog and special effects. Chilling sounds will make spines tingle as hungry zombies are unleashed to prey upon unsuspecting arrivals. “Our team loves making things and we’re incredibly passionate about creating props for the costume ball,” said Golden, who produces the costume ball with his wife Jennifer, Costuming and Prop Master, Dianne Coppenger, their creative team, friends and volunteers. “To visualize a design concept, build it from scratch, and bring our art to life is the greatest gift we can bring our guests! This is a high-end Halloween production like no other on the Central Coast.”
Professional portraiture is available upon entry as you walk through the legs of “The Gatekeeper,” a giant, 20-foot-tall menacing scarecrow. Once inside, a variety of props, decorations and torture devices await, perfect for candid photo opportunities.
Burning James and the Funky Flames “burn the proverbial house down” with dance music on Friday night before Paul Thompson raises the roof again on Saturday night at the Devilish Dance Party.
A variety of food, including BBQ Pork Tacos, Tri-Tip Sandwiches, Cowboy Burgers, BBQ Chicken Wraps, Vegan Roasted Vegetable Wraps, Garlic Fries, Regular Frie, and Halloween-Themed Dessert will be available for purchase along with a full bar with a selection of beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.
On both nights, audiences can tilt the Applause-O-Meter at the Grand Costume Competition. From 7 to 9 p.m., judges will handpick semi-finalists to compete onstage in six categories, including “Scariest,” “Funniest,” “Sexiest,” “Most Original,” “Best Couple,” and “Best Group.” Lucky finalists with the highest decibel scores for audience cheers and applause will win a $100 cash prizes awarded in each category.

A drop-off and pick-up point designated for Uber and Lyft transportation near the entrance to Paso Robles Event Center will make it quick and convenient to access an array of nearby hotel options. Adjacent parking for private vehicles is $5 per vehicle. RV campsites are available for purchase with hookups available on a first-come, first served basis. There are a limited number of campsites available at the fairgrounds and hookups are not guaranteed. First-come, first-served. It’s required that you arrive between 3 pm to 7 pm. Arrivals after 7 p.m. will not receive accommodations.
Tickets for General Admission is $45. General Admission with Reserved Seating for $70 includes entry, roundtable seating near the stage and dance floor, the first glass of wine/beer, and tableside service. For both nights, General Admission Weekend Passes are just $80 or Reserved Seating Weekend Pass admission for $125. Campsite Admission is $50 or $90 for a Campsite Weekend Pass with hookups, as available.
Halloween Harvest Costume Ball sponsors include Adelaide Inn, Central Coast Party Helpers, Central Coast LIVE! Events, The Vreamery and Epic Entertainment. A portion of event proceeds will benefit the North SLO County chapter of American Association of University Women (AAUW), which awards grants to help empower area women toward attainment of higher education.
