– Hambly Farms, a family-owned lavender farm, has been awarded the title of “Business of the Year” for 2024 by the San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau. The recognition honors the farm’s dedication to sustainable agriculture, community involvement, and high-quality lavender products.
“We are incredibly honored to receive this award,” said Gina Hambly, owner of Hambly Farms. “As we celebrate our fifth anniversary, this recognition reflects our hard work and the unwavering support of our community. It motivates us to keep growing—not just as a farm, but as a business dedicated to providing quality lavender products, meaningful visitor experiences, and opportunities for agricultural education.”
Hambly Farms began in October 2019 with 200 lavender plants and has since expanded to over 4,500 plants across nine varieties. Located in the hills north of Paso Robles, the farm is known for its estate-grown lavender and sustainable farming practices. Products crafted at Hambly Farms include essential oils, salves, and sachets, all focused on showcasing the therapeutic benefits of lavender.
While the farm is open for seasonal lavender U-Pick, Hambly Farms is currently preparing for holiday gifting. This year, they are releasing limited-edition holiday gift boxes, featuring a curated selection of their lavender products designed to promote relaxation during the holiday season. These gift boxes will be available for a limited time.
