– Hambly Lavender Farm will open its 2026 lavender season May 10, earlier than usual, following a wet winter and warm spring that brought early blooms to the fields in San Miguel.
The family-run farm will remain open through Sept. 7. Located near Paso Robles wineries, the farm offers lavender harvesting, seasonal workshops, sunset events, and new private group experiences.
“This year reminded us that the farm doesn’t run on a fixed schedule,” said owner Gina Hambly. “The lavender is coming in earlier, and it feels like an invitation to enjoy the season as it happens — not just one moment, but the whole experience.”
Opening weekend, which falls on Mother’s Day weekend, will include opportunities for visitors to walk through the lavender rows, harvest bouquets, visit farm animals including piglets and chickens, and shop at the seasonal farm store.
The farm said opening weekend will also feature local collaborations and seasonal items including lavender lemonade and Leo Leo lavender honey gelato.
Hambly Lavender Farm’s U-Pick season will run May 10 through Sept. 7 on Fridays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission costs $20 per person, and children younger than 10 are admitted free. Each guest will be able to harvest one lavender bundle.
The farm said it is focusing on a longer season this year rather than a single peak bloom event, allowing visitors to experience the lavender at different stages throughout the season.
The farm’s “Sunset on the Farm” evenings will return on select Saturdays from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Guests may bring picnics and participate in wine tastings with rotating Paso Robles winery partners including Eberle Winery, Austin Hope Wines, and Hoyt Family Vineyards. Admission costs $30 per person.
New private group experiences for 2026 will be available for groups of 10 to 25 people with advance reservations. The experiences are intended for events including bachelorette parties, birthdays, girls’ weekends, and small retreats. Options include lavender harvesting, reserved seating, curated picnics, and hosted experiences.
Throughout the season, the farm will partner with Central Coast businesses for workshops and products sold in the farm store. Collaborations will include Sugar + Spoon lavender honey caramels, Root Elixirs cocktail and mocktail mixers, Rinn’s Pantry culinary lavender blends, Sierra Honey Farm lavender honey, and Leo Leo Gelato honey lavender gelato.
Seasonal workshops will include charcuterie, painting, wine blending, and lavender distillation activities.
Hambly Lavender Farm is located in San Miguel and produces estate lavender and small-batch lavender products. The farm hosts seasonal events, workshops, and farm visits during the lavender season.
