J.R. Reynolds Named Interim Head Football Coach
– The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District and Paso Robles High School head varsity football coach, Larry Grant, have “mutually agreed to part ways,” according to a press release from the district. Said Superintendent Chris Williams, “We wish Coach Grant and his family all the best as he moves into the next chapter of his career.”
J.R. Reynolds, current varsity offensive coordinator, will serve as interim head coach until further notice and additional support will be provided to student athletes to ensure that they have the best opportunity for success, according to the release. Coach Reynolds has spent six years coaching Bearcat Football and was undefeated the last two seasons as the head junior varsity coach.
Superintendent Chris Williams added, “This is a great opportunity to move forward with J.R. as our interim head coach. He’s had great success in Paso Robles both as a student athlete and as a coach. We will continue to focus on our organizational values and belief in success for all students.”
