Three fires burn around Lake Nacimiento area

Firefighters were responding to three fires in the Nacimiento Lake area on Monday at about 5:30 p.m.

A helicopter was fighting the blazes by dropping water on them.

One fire on Nacimiento Lake Road appears to have started near the road and is not currently threatening homes, an eyewitness tells the Paso Robes Daily News.

By 6:15 p.m. Cal Fire firefighters report they have 100-percent containment on three fires in the area. The largest is 45 acres in Monterey County in the Bryson-Hesperia area. The San Luis Obispo County fires were 2 acres and 6 acres.

No other details were available at press time.
