Highway 1 lane closures planned for Morro Bay Triathlon
– Travelers on Highway 1 between Morro Bay and Cayucos should expect lane closures and traffic control on Sunday, Nov. 2, for the 2025 Morro Bay Triathlon.
The #2 (right) lane in both directions will be closed from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. to provide a dedicated lane for the cycling portion of the event.
Flagged traffic control will also be in place at the intersections of Atascadero Road, San Jacinto Street, Yerba Buena Street, Old Creek Road, and Sea West Drive. Message and directional signs will alert travelers, and the California Highway Patrol will assist with traffic control.
Caltrans officials remind drivers to slow down and use caution in all work zones to help ensure the safety of highway workers.
