Highway 1 reopens between Ragged Point and north of Lucia 

Section of highway closed overnight due to rock slide

– A section of Highway 1 between Ragged Point and four miles north of Lucia in Monterey County reopened Nov. 16 following an overnight storm-related closure, according to a post yesterday on X by Caltrans District 5.

Caltrans reported that the closure further north of Lucia remains in place because of the Regent’s Slide.
