Highway 101 rehabilitation project near San Miguel continues 

highway 46 road closure–A project to improve eight miles of US Highway 101 from north of Monterey Road in San Luis Obispo County to south of the East Garrison Overcrossing near Camp Roberts in Monterey County will continue on Monday, June 12 with intermittent and long-term closures of the northbound on-ramp/southbound off ramp to US Highway 101 at 10th Street.

This roadwork will include lowering the profile of 10th St for proper bridge clearance. This area will also receive new asphalt, sidewalks and curb ramps.

Motorists headed southbound may exit US Highway 101 at North Mission Street. Motorists entering northbound US Highway 101 from San Miguel will use Mission Street through San Miguel before reaching US Highway 101 at the north end of town.

In addition, San Marcos Road near San Miguel will be closed at US Highway 101 beginning Monday, June 19 through Monday, June 26 for excavation and reconstruction of the southbound lanes, a portion of San Marcos Road and to install drainage facilities.

Motorists traveling northbound may detour by using Wellsona Road to San Marcos Road. Motorists heading southbound may detour by using Wellsona Road to San Marcos Road.

The contractor for this $53 million project is Security Paving of Sylmar, CA. It is scheduled to be complete in 2019.
