Highway 46 East paving near Geneseo Road begins next week
–A project to apply a preventative surface treatment on Hwy. 46 East from Airport Road to Geneseo Road will begin on Monday, July 9.
Motorists will encounter lane closures in each direction of Hwy. 46 Monday night through Friday morning during from 7 pm until 1 pm the following day. Construction will also take place each Sunday from 9 pm until 1 pm the following day. Motorists can expect delays not to exceed 15 minutes.
This project will include an application of a Bonded Wearing Course on the highway ensuring a smooth ride and increased traction.
The contractor for this $4 million project is the Griffith Company of Bakersfield, CA. This project is expected to be completed this October.
