Highway 58 resurfacing project in Santa Margarita begins next week

–A project to resurface Highway 58 and reconstruct curb ramps from the Interchange with US Highway 101 to “J” Street in Santa Margarita will begin on Monday Sept. 9.

This project will include lane closures Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Delays should not exceed 15 minutes.

The contractor for this $1.4 million project is Granite Construction of Santa Barbara, CA. This project is expected to be complete this November. Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
