Highway 58 resurfacing project starts next week near Santa Margarita
Delays are not expected to exceed 10 minutes
– A resurfacing project on Highway 58 east of Santa Margarita will begin Tuesday, May 13. The work will take place between State Route 229 and the Navajo Creek Bridge.
One-way reversing traffic control will be in effect Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Delays are not expected to exceed 10 minutes, according to CalTrans.
The pavement enhancement will occur in multiple locations throughout the project area over the next several weeks. Electronic message boards have been activated to inform the public of the upcoming roadwork.
The contractor for the $2.9 million project is Doolittle Construction LLC of Sacramento. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of July.
