Hope Clinic provides free dental, vision, medical care to the community 

–Free dental, medical and vision care was provided earlier this month for almost 200 in the community at the 2018 Annual Hope Clinic at Templeton Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church in Templeton.

A line started forming at 3 a.m. Dec. 2 for the Hope Clinic. Patients received free fillings, extractions, root canals and other dental care. Over 120 had free eye exams and will receive free glasses. Other services rendered included physical therapy, foot care, massage, haircuts, and medical screenings.

Preliminary estimates are that over 100 volunteers helped 71 dental patients with root canals, fillings, extractions and cleanings. 121 received eye exams and 118 will receive eye glasses. Around 80 received Physical Therapy and Massage Therapy. 19 had their feet cared for. Over 40 had medical screenings and nutrition counseling. Around 70 haircuts were given.

Medical professionals involved included dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, optometrists, physicians, nurses, a certified nail technologist, and a registered dietician.

The church will be doing this again for the community Feb. 10 and Oct. 27.
