House fire reported on Running Stag Way
Police department evacuated nearby houses
– A fire was seen engulfing a garage in the 900 block of Running Stag Way in the Meadowlark neighborhood of Paso Robles at 9:43 p.m. Friday night.
Crews were seen responding to the blaze and the Paso Robles Police Department evacuated nearby houses.
Firefighters arrived at scene to discover the attached garage fully involved with fire extending to a travel trailer in the driveway. All occupants were able to safely evacuate the structure. The fire was quickly contained to the travel trailer and garage before extending into the living quarters. Residents were evacuated and firefighters searched for pets in the home.
Three fire engines and one Battalion Chief from Paso Robles responded to the incident. Under the City’s automatic aid agreement, one engine and one Battalion Chief from CAL FIRE/SLO County and one engine from Atascadero Fire immediately responded to assist.
Cause of the fire is currently under investigation, according to Paso Robles Battalion Chief Jay Enns.
