Library hosting ‘How To Day’

Free community event offers a chance to learn about everything from dog training to jewelry making
–Paso Robles Library and Recreation Services will be hosting an all-ages community event called “How To Saturday,” on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Featuring close to a dozen free mini-classes from dog training to jewelry making (and many more in-between), this community event will showcase demonstrations and hands-on learning opportunities taught by Paso Robles Recreation instructors.
Some of the class topics include Zumba, yoga, cooking, personal safety strategies, Kindermusik’s music and movement for the toddler crowd, pickleball, jewelry making, ballroom and line dancing, and many more.

“Libraries serve the community by providing the resources necessary to ignite that spark of learning, leading to the opportunity for growth and self-improvement,” said City Librarian Angelica Fortin. “How To Saturday is a chance for community members to do just that by learning about and trying something new and different,” . “We invite folks of all ages to join us for this celebration of learning at the Paso Robles City Library.”
The instructors and classes featured during How To Saturday represent classes being offered this fall through Paso Robles Recreation Services. Registration for these classes will be available at the Library on Saturday, Aug. 27. The fall activity guide which lists activities and classes offered through Library and Recreation Services will be mailed to all Paso Robles homes in mid-August. Activity guides are also available at the Paso Robles City Library, Paso Robles City Hall, the Centennial Park Recreation Office and many businesses throughout the city.
The Paso Robles City Library is located at 1000 Spring Street and is open Monday – Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
