Marc Goldberg and Maggie D’Ambrosia were honored by Adam Montiel, Philip Krumal (Asuncion Ridge), Rex Pickett (Author of ‘Sideways’), and Joel Peterson (Executive Director of Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance) for their commitment to putting on this event for the past 19 years, supporting Paso Robles Youth Arts Center and were gifted a handmade 13” copper paella pan inscribed:
“With our greatest appreciation we hereby honor Marc Goldberg & Maggie D’Ambrosia for their passion, dedication, and commitment to the Paso Robles Pinot and Paella Festival. Thank You! Paso Robles Youth Arts Center, Paso Pinot Producers, and Paella Chefs.”
During the event, local chefs compete good-naturedly against each other with 14 unique Paellas to see who will be voted the winner by professional as well as popular votes. Chef Jeff Wiesinger of Jeffry’s Wine Country BBQ won the People’s Choice Award this year and Chef Rachel Haggstrom from Justin Winery won the Top Paella Prize voted by the Judges. The Paella competition was complemented by over 20 Pinot Noirs in Templeton Community Park.

“My sincerest thanks to Marc Goldberg and Maggie D’Ambrosia for their ongoing support of Paso Robles Youth Arts Center in naming us beneficiaries of this event,” says Barby Wunsch, Executive Director of Paso Robles Youth Arts Center who helped plan this year’s event along with Lou Greenberg from Windward Vineyards and Kelsey Lemstra from Jack Creek Cellars. “The contributions of our local community of chefs and pinot producers is so appreciated. Without them, this event would not be possible! It was a delicious day with the community coming together to support youth arts!”
