    Hundreds enjoy Oktoberfest in Templeton

Hundreds enjoy Oktoberfest in Templeton –More than 400 people attended the 3rd Annual Oktoberfest Saturday afternoon at the Templeton City Park. The event is a fundraiser for the Templeton Chamber of Commerce.

An annual tradition: Weiner dog races.

Beer lovers sampled German and local craft beer, tasted German cuisine and did the chicken dance to an “oompah band” dressed in lederhosen. The band played traditional German music interspersed with “Low Rider” by War and “In a Gadda da Vida” by Iron Butterfly.

Chamber CEO Jessica Main said, “We sold 100 tickets the day before the event, which made planning the event challenging, but it went well. The weather was perfect. This event pays for a lot of chamber activities throughout the year.”
