Hundreds pack meeting discussing proposed Beechwood Development
–Several hundred neighbors and concerned citizens packed Virginia Peterson Elementary School multi-purpose room Wednesday night to learn about the proposed Beechwood Development. The plan calls for 915 homes to be built between Creston Road, Beechwood Road and Meadowlark Road.
Planners were on hand to answer questions about the proposals. Citizens were encouraged to write comments about the proposals.
Some citizens shared concerns about traffic and water. Others raised questions about overcrowding schools.
The project has been in works for more than a decade. The developers tabled it when the drought put city residents on water rationing.
