    Educational seminar to help protect growers’ vineyard investment

    –The Independent Grape Growers of the Paso Robles Area (IGGPRA) will hold its June Seminar, You Are Not Alone: Sources and Systems to Help You Protect and Manage Your Vineyard Investment, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Paso Robles High School Performing Arts Center, 801 Niblick Road. The IGGPRA is a non-profit association of viticulture industry members dedicated to providing hands-on, actionable knowledge for its members and the community involved in growing wine grapes in the Paso Robles area.

    Natural Resource Conservation Service Representative Margy Lindquist, Resource Conservation District Director Devin Best and Farm Services Agency Representative Jennifer Bloom, will discuss how the government can help protect and manage your vineyard investment.

    In addition, IGGPRA President and Owner of Precision AG Consulting Lowell Zelinski, Ph.D., will talk about instrumentation to aid in irrigation management. Tule Technologies, John Azevedo will also discuss a new method of measuring evapotranspiration, which is a term for the sum of evaporation and plant transpiration from the Earth’s land and ocean surface to the atmosphere.
