    Jameson Mora wins Paso Robles Half Marathon 

     

    –Despite subfreezing temperatures early Sunday morning, dozens of runners turned out to run the Paso Robles Half-marathon, the 5-K and a mile run for kids. The event is a fund raiser for Paso Robles High School’s 4-A Foundation, which raises money for academics, art, agriculture and athletics.

    The marathon started at 7 a.m. The 5-K started at 8 a.m. Runners from both races finished from 8:15 – 9:30 a.m.

    First across the finish line, 34-year-old Jameson Mora of Paso Robles. He won the half-marathon in 1:10.10. That’s about 5:20 pace for each mile. Mora previously ran track and cross-country for Cal Poly. He has since run a 2:15 marathon. He’s won the Portland Marathon three times. He now offers his experience as a personal coach, when he’s not training for marathons.
