Janet Erkenbrack dies at 65

–Janet (Jan) Erkenbrack, daughter of Jim & Judy Erkenbrack was born July 16, 1951 in Van Nuys, CA. Jan attended Grade School, Jr Hi-School & High School all within the Greater Los Angeles Area. Jan left home in the early 1970’s and ultimately became a resident in the small beach community of Cayucos. Looking for greater opportunities she then moved to San Luis Obispo. At this point in time Jan decided to re-focus on her art & design talents & enrolled & attended The Fashion Design Institute’s San Francisco & Los Angeles campuses, graduating with honors. She then moved back to So. Cal. but it had become very apparent that the central coast had taken her heart and would never let it go.

She returned back to San Luis Obispo and in June of 1995, Jan moved to Paso Robles & joined the incredible group at Eberle Winery.

Jan passed on May 5, 2017 fittingly know as Cinco de Mayo as her love for Mexico was well known.

For the past 22 years Jan has been by the side Gary Eberle & his staff helping grow the winery & creating very special & unique events together. Jan was loved by one and all and will be truly missed. Jan is survived by her brother Bill & his wife Marilyn, nephews Ken Erkenbrack & niece Keri Erkenbrack and lastly, the love of her life; her great niece, Karly Erkenbrack.

Her memorial was held at Eberle Winery on Monday, June 5, 2017. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Tolosa Children’s Dental Center in Paso Robles, CA.
