Jingle all the way 5k happening Saturday
–The Templeton Recreation Department is hosting the 2nd Annual Jingle All the Way 5K Family Fun Run sponsored by Sierra Pacific Materials and Earth Systems. on Saturday, Dec. 8.
Participants may choose from a 5k, or 1 Mile Kids Loop course. The 5k run starts at 8 a.m. and the 1-mile Kids Loop follows at 9 a.m. The starting point for each run begins in front of the Templeton Fire Department located at 206 5th Street. Santa will be attending the festivities, there are medals for top finishers in Men’s, Women’s, and Boys & Girls categories.
All participants running in the 5k will receive a t-shirt, (first 100 sign ups) race bib, and a raffle ticket for one of the many prizes that will be handed out. The 1-mile Kids Loop participants will receive a goody bag and participation ribbon.
They’ll have prizes for the best dressed runner who comes decked out in holiday running wear, the best dressed team, the ugliest holiday sweater, and the best decorated stroller runners.
Registration is now open. To register online, visit the Recreation Department pages at the Templeton Community Services District website www.templetoncsd.org. The cost for pre-registration for the 5k is $30. The 1-mile Kids Loop Fun Run is $5.
Please note since it’s the holiday season that the Day of Registration will remain at $30 – t-shirts will be based on availability. Day of Registration requires payment by checks or cash, only. Additional t-shirts may be available for sale on the day of the run.
