Jo Anne Swanson dies at 86
Jo Anne Swanson.
–Jo Anne Swanson of Vancouver Washington passed away on October 16th, 2017 of complications resulting from a fall in her home. She was a long time, 50 year resident of San Luis Obispo County prior to moving to Vancouver Washington in 2016 to be close to her family. She was employed at Ennis Business Forms in Paso Robles until her retirement.
Joanne was born in Gage, Oklahoma on November 30, 1930 to Imon and Jessie (Drake) Morris. She married Wayne Swanson on December 26th, 1951.
She was a loving and giving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed embroidery, crossword puzzles, reading, court tv, game shows and enjoyed playing bean bag baseball with her friends. She was a die hard western movie and series fan especially anything with John Wayne in it. She had been a long time member of Vineyard Church of Christ in Templeton and cherished her friends there. She also greatly enjoyed the occasional trip to local casinos.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her husband Wayne in 1998 and her son Terry in 2008. She is survived by her sister Eileen Weiss of Wyomissing Pa, daughters Julia Castro and Susan Swanson both of Battle Ground Wa, grandchildren Jason Castro of Paso Robles Ca, Jessie McClure of Vancouver Wa, Rachel Rios of Monterey, Ca and 6 great grandchildren.
There will be a private memorial on November 3, 2017.
She will be greatly missed and we will always carry her memory with us.
