Joe Samba brings reggae rock tour to Paso Robles

– Rising reggae rock artist Joe Samba will perform at The Pour House in Paso Robles on Thursday, Sept. 12, alongside Kyle Smith. The performance is part of Samba’s summer tour, which coincides with the upcoming release of his third full-length studio album, “Lifeline,” on Friday, Sept. 27 via LAW Records.
“Lifeline” includes 10 tracks, featuring the lead single “Little Love,” described as “a mood-booster,” and his new single “Meant To Be,” a salsa-infused, hip-hop collaboration with Wax, produced by Eric Krasno of Soulive. The album marks Samba’s first time working with outside producers, recording four tracks with Krasno and three in Los Angeles’ Laurel Canyon with Anthony Resta, known for his work with Duran Duran and Collective Soul. The remaining tracks were self-produced in Maine at the Halo Studio with engineer Kevin Billingslea.
Samba’s music spans a variety of styles, from reggae-infused grooves to punk rock anthems, tied together by his candid lyrics about life experiences. “Lifeline” reflects his journey through life changes, including becoming a father, moving, touring, and balancing friendships and family.
Born in Massachusetts and now based in New Hampshire, Samba began his music career gigging around the Northeast. He debuted as an artist in 2019 with “The Wrong Impression,” which topped the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart and garnered millions of streams. His 2022 sophomore album “Far From Forever” further solidified his place in the reggae rock scene, with singles such as “Create Something,” “Boomer Economy,” and “Beef” also amassing millions of streams.
Samba has toured with artists like The Dirty Heads, Ziggy Marley, Pepper, Shwayze, and Sublime With Rome, and has performed at festivals including Summer Camp Music Festival, Cali Vibes, Reggae Rise Up, and Cali Roots Festival. His live shows have received praise, with The Pier noting, “There’s something unique about Joe.”
