John Andrew Hathaway dies at 65 

–John Andrew Hathaway John Andrew Hathaway, born on July 9, 1952, in Pueblo, Colo., passed away on September 24, 2017, in Templeton, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gail and Alice Hathaway. John is survived by his wife, Sue Ann; two sons: Johnathan and Cameron; a daughter, Alicia; a stepson, Joseph; three brothers: Jerry, Steve, William “Billy”; and five grandchildren: Johnea, Desmon, Charlee, Keilyn and Johnathan III.

A few of John’s life highlights were living in Las Vegas as a young man and singing in a group called the Ambassadors, as well as another group called The Pride. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War where he served as a Navy Seal. He was a proud Vet and had a passion for our country. John lived in Anchorage, Alaska for ten years and was the Vice President of International Building Supplies Inc., a large lumber company that serviced many areas in Alaska, the lower 48 as well as internationally.

John was a master carpenter and builder. Locally he worked on many projects constructing, renovating and remodeling as well on his personal homes. His gift allowed him to create beautiful works of art. His creations were a reflection of his personality. He was strong, thoughtful, organized and fearless to tackle any project to which he set his mind. In fact, while in Alaska he built his home with his own hands in the middle of winter. Above all, John was a deeply spiritual soul who shared his love of God with his family and friends. John rests at Pine Mountain Cemetery, Atascadero, Calif.
