John Hamon, Children’s Museum to receive honors from the Boy Scouts
– Paso Robles City Councilman John Hamon and the Children’s Museum will be honored by the Boy Scouts of America. Councilman Hamon will be receiving the NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award and the Museum will receive the Vanguard Award.
Councilman Hamon became an Eagle Scout as a young man and has been involved with scouting most of his life. He dedicates time to volunteer for the organization. Hamon is also a long time member on the Paso Robles Children’s Museum’s board of directors and helps the museum with ongoing development.
“We are honored to be receiving this award from the Boy Scouts of America and proud to be sharing the evening the Councilman Hamon,” said Jennifer Smith, Executive Director of the Paso Robles Children’s Museum. “John Hamon is an active member of our board of directors and does so much for the youth in our county” added Smith.
The celebration takes place on Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Dark Star Cellars. Tickets are $75 each and proceeds go to help rebuild the outdoor school, Rancho Alegre.

The Children’s Museum at the Paso Robles Volunteer Firehouse is a non-profit 501(c) organization that serves children and families in the general public. The museum engages children in a joyful learn-through-play environment to inspire educational curiosity while honoring the heritage of our volunteer firefighters.
