JR Reynolds named Paso Robles High School Head Football Coach

JR Reynolds.

– Paso Robles Joint Unified School District (PRJUSD) Board of Trustees officially announced that former Bearcat, JR Reynolds., will be taking over as the head varsity football coach for Paso Robles High School (PRHS). Reynolds had been serving as interim head coach since the second game of the 2017 season.

Reynolds is a 2008 graduate of PRHS where he lettered in football and baseball. He has been involved in coaching all levels of Bearcat football from working as an assistant freshman coach to having two undefeated seasons as the head junior varsity coach. As the interim varsity head coach this past year, the Bearcats won the PAC 5 Championship going undefeated in league play.
Mr. Reynolds was selected by a panel consisting of students, parents, staff, and community members. Says Superintendent Chris Williams, “I’ve been really impressed with Mr. Reynolds’ leadership and how he values a student-led program. He is a genuine person and his passion for the success of students really stands out.”
Mr. Reynolds is eager to begin. He says, “As a former Bearcat student athlete I am extremely excited to be the head coach of such a storied football program. The staff and I are looking forward to continue to teach our student athletes the importance of family, academics and community.”

PRHS will be moving to the Central Section of the California Interscholastic Federation next year and the Bearcats have scheduled games with several of the top schools in that area. Says Reynolds, “With our schedule set for the next season we are already looking forward to competing at a high level with goals of winning league, CIF, and state championships.
