Karen Arellano dies at 62

– Karen Denise Arellano went to be with the Lord on July 4. Karen was born on October 14, 1952 to James and Juanita East in Sacramento.

Arellano enjoyed a loving childhood with her older sister Diana and two younger sisters Deborah and Judy.

The family moved to Portland, Oregon in 1964 where Arellano attended and graduated from Portland Christian High School.

Arellano enjoyed working with children in the Paso Robles School District as a computer instructor. While working for the school district she was raising three sons, James, Robert and Anthony, along with her daughter Alysa.

Arellano liked to make macramé plant hangers along with reading and cooking meals for her family gathering. She worked at the Christian Life Center as a preschool teacher until retirement and was also involved with Sisters of Service where she was in charge of the Prayer Chain.

Arellano enjoyed visits from grandchildren Brandi and Jeremy Feagle, and nephews Donny Brooks, Christopher Stoddard, Dylan Reed and Niece Katryna Kimberlain.

Arellano was predeceased by her parents James and Juanita East, along with sister Debbie East. Arellano was loved by everyone especially her family and will be greatly missed.
