Kathi Susan Agueda dies at 66

Kathi Susan Agueda.

Kathi Susan Agueda; she was Amazing Grace

–Born Kathi Susan Ruiz on January 11, 1951 in San Luis Obispo California. She was the second oldest child to Richard and Dorothy Ruiz. She has three sisters; Terri Franklin, Joni Dusi, Toni Clevenger, and one brother, Richard Ruiz. Kathi was a 1969 graduate of Templeton High School, the homecoming queen of her senior class, Jr. Miss of San Luis Obispo County, and champion tennis player!

In her hometown of Templeton, she met the love of her life, Anthony Silviera Agueda Jr., when she was just twelve years old, and the man that she would eventually marry and have four beautiful children; Anthony Agueda III, Jodi Agueda-Kelly, David Agueda, and Juli Waterman. Those children would all grow up to have beautiful families of their own who gave Kathi and Tony nine grandchildren; Anthony, Tanna, Josi, John (Bubba), Jenna, Asher, Alaska, Will, and Jane and two great-grandchildren; Paisley and Anthony (Baby V).

Kathi was selfless in all that she did, putting everyone else first, opening her home to anyone in need and her heart to everyone that she met.

Kathi will be remembered as a magnanimous leader of her family and in her business. Along with her four blood children, she took many others under her wings whom she treated with love and Amazing Grace that surpassed general “human kindness”; she truly loved these “children” as her own. Her unwavering faith in Christ, or Lord, was an example of who we are called to be, in Christ. The many lives that she touched, through her genuine kindness, will forever be changed by the positive impact that Kathi had in their lives.

She went to be with the Lord Oct. 8, 2017 at French Hospital in San Luis Obispo California.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church, 535 Creston Road, Paso Robles California. Graveside service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. at Templeton Cemetery.

There will also be a Celebration of Life at Joni Dusi’s home, in the vineyards next to the cemetery, immediately following the graveside service. 635 North Main Street, Templeton California.
