‘Up with Kids’ event returns Aug. 5
Re/Max Parkside Realtors will give kids balloon rides on Saturday morning.
–Re/Max Parkside Real Estate is hosting their 16th annual “Up With Kids” back to school shopping spree on Saturday, Aug. 5 starting at 5:45 a.m. at the Target on Theatre Drive in Paso Robles.
Last year, the event helped 128 kids got off on the right foot when returning to school with new clothes, shoes, backpacks and school supplies. The morning also includes a ride in a tethered hot air balloon for every child.This year Up With Kids expects to help 150 kids and their families.–Re/Max Parkside Real Estate is hosting their 16th annual “Up With Kids” back to school shopping spree on Saturday, Aug. 5 starting at 5:45 a.m. at the Target on Theatre Drive in Paso Robles.
The organizers are currently seeking volunteers to help with the event. The event requires a lot of coordination and the help of approximately 200 volunteers.

In addition, they will also be collecting canned and dry goods to further assist the families.
They need 120:
· Bags of rice
· Cans of tuna
· Boxes of cereal
· Boxes of dry milk
· Jars of peanut butter
· Bags of any kind of pasta
· Bags of any kind of dried beans
This year marks the second year they have been able to offer scholarships to graduating high school students who have successfully completed an Up With Kids application process. The scholarships will be presented to the recipients at their graduation ceremony. They will also be accepting cash contributions that will go toward buying school supplies.
To contribute, make checks payable to Up With Kids (a benefit account at Wells Fargo Bank) and mail to RE/MAX Parkside Real Estate, 711 12th Street, Paso Robles, Calif 93446.
