Kids invited to make glow-in-the-dark ‘Cloud Balls’ at the library

–On Monday, June 24, 4-5 p.m., in the Library Story Room, the Paso Robles City Library invites children ages 7-12 to make a sensory manipulative out of a mixture that will be similar to kinetic sane in texture but will glow in the dark.

“Our Maker Monday Series is entering its third year running and we continue to have fun exploring science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics with our young patrons,” says Youth Services Librarian Melissa Bailey, “Maker Mondays is one of my favorite classes to teach because the children always come up with new ways to do the project that are so creative and we get to make a big mess! What’s more fun than that?”

Maker Mondays are the fourth Monday of every month. The program is free but limited to the first 30 participants. Free admission tickets are available at the Children’s Desk beginning at 3:30 p.m. the day of the program. For more information about Maker Mondays, contact Melissa Bailey at mbailey@prcity.com or visit www.prcity.com/library.

The Paso Robles City Library is located at 1000 Spring Street and is open Monday – Friday 10-8, and Saturday 10-5. For more information on library programs and events, please call (805) 237-3870 or visit www.prcity.com/library.
