Lady Bearcats water polo team beat the Selma Bears 6-1

–The Lady Bearcats (#4) hosted the Selma Bears (#5) in the quarter-finals of Central Section Division 2 CIF. The game was played at Arroyo Grande High School. The Bearcats were victorious, utilizing a strong defense holding Selma to 1 goal in the game. Morgan Harrington had one goal, Halle Nash had a goal and three assists, and Tatiana Smeltzer led the Bearcats with four goals, four steals, two drawn ejections, and multiple shot blocks. Kaitlyn Hebrard was solid in the goal with 11 saves including a 5-meter penalty shot.

With the 6-1 victory, the Bearcats will head to Garces Memorial High School next Wednesday to play Garces (#1) at 3 p.m.
