LaGuardia’s Italian Deli at the airport closes

LaGuardia’s Italian DeliA restaurant that opened at the Paso Robles Airport in November of 2012 closed its doors yesterday.

“Sad news to post… LaGuardia’s Italian Deli will be closing tomorrow for good,” the owners wrote Wednesday on Facebook. “We would like to thank all of those who have come to our deli and enjoyed the food and family. We have appreciated all of your support. For those of you who are our loyal customers, we will miss seeing and serving you! Ciao!, Lou & Jen.”

They said they will continue their catering business and plan to be at Tobin James for Zinfest and Castoro Cellars for Paso Robles Wine Festival weekend.

Owner Lou LaGuardia served gourmet style Italian sandwiches, salads and other dishes for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday. The restaurant location at the airport terminal, 4900 Wing Way, Paso Robles, was previously occupied by Matthew’s restaurant.

Sorry to see it go. According to some pilot’s, they thought it was the wrong venue and a little too pricy. I think pilot’s are more interested in sandwiches and hamburgers.

Wrong location in Paso Robles. When was the last time most Paso Roblans drove out to the airport looking for a restaurant?
