Lake San Antonio (pictured) is closed due to a fish die-off event.

    – Due to the closure of Lake San Antonio, Monterey County Parks and Lakes is allowing annual pass holders to use their passes at Lake Nacimiento during the closure, according to Public Information Officer for Monterey County Maia Carroll.

The Lake Nacimiento Resort has limited day-use and boat trailer parking and fills up quickly during weekends. Visitors are advised to arrive early or call ahead to check on capacity.

During busy weekends, the Lake Nacimiento North Shore parking area and launch ramp are also open, but they too reach capacity.

“We appreciate your patience while we investigate the fish die-off at Lake San Antonio. We remain hopeful that we will be able to reopen very soon,” Carroll stated.
