Large group story time opportunities coming to the library

library paso robles–The Paso Robles City Library is introducing a new, large group story time — especially designed for preschool and daycare groups, ages 3-6, the last Tuesday of the month, beginning July 30, 10 a.m.

“We hope that by providing a special story time for preschools and daycare groups, we can help support those groups with their mission to provide enrichment opportunities during critical physical and cognitive developmental stages,” said Youth Services Librarian Melissa Bailey. “Bringing your group to this new monthly story time will be a fun field trip for the children and will provide them with key early literacy skills to bolster future development in these areas.”

The program will include songs, stories, and motor skill development exercises and will run about 40 minutes. Groups must come with a ratio of one adult for every eight children.

Groups are required to register prior to the event and space is limited. Go to http://www.prcity.com/246/Classes-Events to sign up. Multiple groups will be accepted until room capacity is reached. For more information, contact Melissa Bailey, (805) 237-3870.

The Paso Robles City Library is located at 1000 Spring Street and is open Monday – Friday 10-8, and Saturday 10-5. For more information on library programs and events, call (805) 237-3870 or visit www.prcity.com/library.
