Law Enforcement Night planned at San Luis Obispo Farmers Market

–In observance of National Police Week, Downtown SLO is hosting Law Enforcement Night at the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market on Thursday, May 17, from 6 to 9 p.m.

This event will commemorate public safety personnel across San Luis Obispo County, with members of each law enforcement agency stationed on all side streets throughout the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market, along Higuera Street between Osos and Nipomo streets. In addition to various police departments and Highway Patrol, representatives from the SWAT team and FBI will be in attendance.

Law Enforcement Night is family-friendly, free and open to the public. The event will include interactive educational materials for kids, demonstrations of resources and equipment, and plenty of other opportunities for children and families to engage in learning more about everyday law enforcement work. Kids of all ages will be able to test out equipment, view tools like robots and transportation vehicles, and ask officers questions. This event is sponsored by the San Luis Obispo Police Department.
