Leadership North County graduates Class of 2025
Graduates explored regional issues through workshops and discovery tours
– Leadership North County marked the graduation of its sixth class on May 22, concluding a 10-month leadership development program involving thirteen participants from across San Luis Obispo County.
The program provided participants with experience in key regional sectors, including agriculture, arts and culture, government, education, and health and human services. Monthly workshops were conducted through onsite discovery tours focused on regional issues and industries. The program also included a weekend-long retreat at the start.
“I initially joined Leadership North County to seek growth in my employment, but the benefit I got from it was that what I learned not only benefited my employment but also my personal life,” said graduate Hannah Kiss. “I think one of the greatest things I learned is to seek continual improvement.”
Participants engaged in mentorship and discussions aimed at developing personal leadership styles while collaborating with experienced community leaders.
According to a recent statewide survey of leadership programs, 93 percent of employers who sponsored participants saw improvement in leadership skills, and 97 percent reported that the investment in the program was worthwhile to their organization.
Applications for the 2025–26 cohort are now open. The deadline to apply is July 20. Individuals over the age of 21 who live or work in Northern San Luis Obispo County are eligible to apply.
