Learn continental knitting at city library with Fiber & Fringe
Class to be held Nov. 16
– The Paso Robles Recreation Department is hosting an in-person continental knitting class for adults on Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Paso Robles City Library’s conference room. The class, part of the department’s arts and crafts offerings, will be led by instructor Edith Schneider.
Schneider, a college professor in fashion design and merchandising, is the founder of Fiber & Fringe, a Paso Robles nonprofit dedicated to textile arts and sustainable crafting. In this class, Schneider will guide participants through the basics of continental knitting, a technique known for its efficient hand motions and accessibility for both left- and right-handed knitters.
Fiber & Fringe promotes textile art and sustainability by encouraging people to use new materials while reducing textile waste through reusing and repurposing existing yarns and fabrics.
The class is open to individuals ages 16 and older, with limited space available. Registration is required for each participant. For more details and to register, click here.
