Learn to make sunburst mirrors at the library

Sunburst mirror–Making a sunburst mirror is the first project in the library’s adult “Make It @ Your Library” series this summer. On Friday, June 23, 6-8 p.m., in the library conference room, create a lovely mid-century modern display for home or office that is both elegant and trendy. Sunburst mirrors are depicted in art as far back as the middle ages, being held in high regard by Louis XIV (the Sunburst King). In the 1950s and 60s the modern sunburst mirror became an icon for the times. Thanks to retro television shows such as “Mad Men,” sunburst mirrors are back in style.

To sign up, visit the library events calendar beginning Monday, June 5 to sign up. Space is limited. This event is appropriate for ages 18 and up.

The Paso Robles City Library is located at 1000 Spring Street and is open Monday – Friday 10-8, and Saturday 10-5. For more information on library programs and events, call (805) 237-3870 or visit the library website.
