Mindfulness workshop aims to help Paso Robles residents sleep better

    – Local hypnosis and mindfulness expert Art Kuhns, owner of Breaking Day Hypnotherapy, will lead a workshop titled “Mindful: From Anxious to Restful—The Ultimate Sleep Class” on Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Live Oak Room at Centennial Park, 600 Nickerson Drive.

The workshop is designed to help participants achieve restful sleep through self-hypnosis and mindfulness techniques. It is particularly targeted at individuals who experience difficulty sleeping due to anxiety or stress.

    During the class, participants will:

    • Learn self-hypnosis techniques to calm the mind, reduce anxiety, and prepare for sleep.
    • Engage in mindfulness exercises that promote stress release and a sense of calm before bedtime.
    • Develop a personalized nightly routine incorporating self-hypnosis and mindfulness to improve sleep quality.

“Quality sleep is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. By mastering the techniques of self-hypnosis and mindfulness, you can reclaim your nights and empower your days,” Kuhns said.

The workshop has a registration fee of $35, which includes handouts. Discounts are available for additional family members and active or retired military members.

Advance registration is recommended. Participants can register online here or in person at the Centennial Park registration desk, Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, contact Art Kuhns at (805) 242-1649 or Paso Robles Recreation Services at (805) 237-3988.
