‘Let Your Light Shine’ special education prom returning to Atascadero
Event offers a prom-style experience for individuals with special needs across the county
– RE/MAX Success and its nonprofit arm, Success Charities, will host the third annual Special Education Prom, titled Let Your Light Shine, offering a prom-style experience for individuals with special needs across San Luis Obispo County.
The event is designed to provide a safe and inclusive environment where participants can celebrate and connect. Success Charities supports community-focused causes throughout the Central Coast and hosts fundraising events addressing local needs. In 2024, the organization launched Let Your Light Shine to create an evening centered on participation and inclusion for individuals with special needs.
Organizers reported strong community support and a positive response to the event, leading to its expansion countywide.
The prom will take place Jan. 23 at the Lake Pavilion in Atascadero. The evening will include music and dancing in a prom-style setting.
