Letter: Assembly candidate Dawn Ortiz-Legg has flipped positions

To the editor:Letter to the editor

This election it has become abundantly clear that voters are looking for someone who is transparent and stands for something, not just one who does the party bidding.

Assembly candidate Dawn Ortiz-Legg has flipped position on the rail spur when it became inconvenient to be supporting big oil, just like she is trying to walk away from her Code Pink co-founding now that she is finding that most find their tactics abhorrent. She said on radio that she had no criminal history only to remember she had a DUI. Hauled away in handcuffs was something that slipped her mind. Weeks later we find out she was also arrested and convicted for drug possession. Not memorable either.

Most interesting however, is that she says she had nothing to do with the fabrications in the television and print ads, and that the false document was printed by the Democrat party. Well if Ms. Ortiz-Legg is so unaware of what is happening in her campaign and will do and say anything to get elected then she is exactly the kind of politician the Sacramento puppet masters want. But not what this voter is looking for.
