Letter: District Attorney’s efforts to help local veterans appreciated
To the editor,
–Over the past several years residents of the Central Coast have been aware of District Atty. Dan Dow’s many very positive accomplishments as District Attorney. In addition, it should also be noted that he has served as a Military Officer in the United States Army and presently continues United States Army military service as a Major, Command Judge Advocate, in the California Army National Guard. (He has been deployed to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn, and was deployed to Kosovo under Operation Enduring Freedom). His efforts as the San Luis Obispo District Attorney, and his military background, has helped develop the San Luis Obispo County Veterans Treatment Court that has supported many local veterans to success in our community.
District Attorney Dow’s U.S. Army service and his efforts to help local veterans, and their families, is especially appreciated by those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
