Letter: Fair concert entry takes too long
To the editor,
My wife and I attended the Zac Brown concert on Wednesday night. We entered the fair quickly and arrived 20 minutes before the 7:30 p.m. start time, and it took us 45 minutes to get into the stadium. We and hundreds of others missed a full 25 minutes of the concert because of the fair’s inept admission practice. This should change. Tickets were about $100 each and although we can afford it, I’m sure many of the teens and young adults in line had driven tens or even hundreds of miles, using money that they’d saved and missed 25-percent of the concert. Venues that hold 100,000 are able to get people in in 10 minutes, including a bag check and pat down if needed. Surely the primo county fair in the State can do better.
